Year 5 'travel' to North America for the Summer Term and their D&T project is to build bridges inspired by those in the USA. The children use hacksaws to saw their own wood and measure out each part of their bridge. They use PVA glue and triangles made from card to strengthen their bridge. At the end of the project we evaluate our bridges by testing out their strength using weights!
