Year 5 have been enjoying their art unit which focusses on architecture, guiding pupils through observational drawing, printmaking, and building design. It encourages children to explore architectural elements, analyse Friedensreich Hundertwasser's work, and create meaningful monuments, enhancing their understanding of composition, design, and art appreciation.

The first few lessons have involved children learning how to draw like an architect and they produced some fantastic drawings of their own houses! Then, they used these drawings to create amazing monoprints using printing ink. 

They also had the chance to be architects and draw floor plans for their dream house! We love the creativity they used!
