Wowser! What a fantastic morning we had at our 2024 Poetry Slam!

The infant school joined us for a celebration of poetry. We welcomed in parents and carers to come and watch our competition. Each school recited a poem of their choice and were marked by a panel of judges against their physical presence, voice and articulation, dramatic appropriateness and evidence of understanding. 

The result was....a definite draw!

While the judges deliberated, there was an 'Open Mic' session where the audience were treated to a fabulous selection of poems. 

The Slam was finished with a thumping rap - all about World Book Day - complete with actions and attitude galore!
