Year 5 have been studying the paintings of Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo, who painted hundreds of self-portraits reflecting her moods and life events. We looked at the way she had used blends, tints, shades and hues of colour to create her backgrounds. Using mirrors, we drew our own self portrait and painted it using the techniques we had learnt. We think we did a brilliant job!
