Year 5 have been AMAZING during their woodwork project, making a Viking longships as part of their DT Structures unit of work. They looked at different types of structures and how to strengthen their wood. Following that, they decided on the dimensions for a cuboid and cut all the wood themselves using saws. They strengthened their wood using PVA glue and triangular pieces of card. We think their ships look brilliant!
